The San Francisco Microscopical Society includes microscopists who use the instrument in their employment and amateurs who work with the microscope for their own diversion and pleasure. Existing members' interests cover biology and medical studies, mineralogy, diatoms, chemical microscopy, forensic science, and other areas. We are always interested in expanding our membership to establish a broader base of communications amongst the scientific and educational community.

The requirements for membership are an active interest in the microscopical sciences and a wish to share your knowledge and experiences as well as learn from those of others. Annual dues, depending on your class of membership, cover the cost of our mailings and further the work of the society.
