Up Close with the SFMS

On Sunday, May 11, 2016, The San Francisco Microscopical Society presented a multi-faceted exhibit to help visitors learn how microscopes can help them discover new levels of structure, beauty and information in the world around us that cannot be discerned by the unaided eye. The presentation was inspired by the Berkeley Art Museum's Architecture of Life exhibit.

Activities included a slide show, access to and instruction on a variety of microscopes, substances and organisms to observe ranging from butterfly wings to pond scum, and a special exhibit for young children.
